Students,
As finals approach, remember to prioritize yourself. Get rest, eat well, and give yourself grace. Create a plan, break tasks into manageable pieces, and tackle one thing at a time.
Don't hesitate to reach out to your faculty, advisor, or Student Services if you need support—advocating for yourself is a strength. Short, focused study sessions, movement breaks, and checking in on friends can make a big difference this week.
We believe in you and are proud of everything you've accomplished this semester. Finish strong, Red Raiders.

| Finals Week Survival Tips:
|
Make a plan — and write it down.
List each final exam, project, and due date. Prioritize what is most urgent and break large assignments into manageable pieces.
Study smarter, not longer.
Short, focused study blocks (45–60 minutes) with quick breaks are often more effective than marathon sessions.
Communicate early with faculty.
If you are struggling, reach out now. Faculty appreciate students who advocate for themselves early rather than after deadlines pass.
Protect your sleep.
All-night studying often hurts memory, concentration, and performance more than it helps.
Fuel your brain.
Water, balanced meals, and healthy snacks can make a real difference in focus and energy.
Use campus resources.
Connect with Texas Tech University tutoring, counseling, academic coaching, or Student Services if you need support. Asking for help is a strength.
Take movement breaks.
A 10-minute walk, stretching, or stepping outside can reset your focus and lower stress.
Do not compare your journey to others.
Focus on your own progress and effort. Your best is enough.
Check in on friends.
Finals can feel isolating. Encouragement and kindness go a long way.
Remember why you started.
Finals are one chapter and NOT the whole story. Keep moving forward.

| Review Raiderlink for Hold Information
|
Students who have a drop hold on their account have likely reached or are approaching the six-course drop limit set by Texas state law.
This limit applies regardless of whether courses were dropped at Texas Tech or another institution. To have a hold removed, contact the office that placed it (Registrar, Financial Aid, Housing, etc.), as only that office can remove the hold.
