From the Department Chair
Dear Alumni, Friends and Supporters:
With May ’23 graduation just around the corner, it’s a great time to reflect on all that our Clemson Marketing students, faculty, and staff have accomplished this past year. As our number of majors continues to grow, we’ve added several new faculty members and two new full-time advisors to the department. In February, we welcomed colleagues from six regional universities to our Annual Marketing Research Symposium, where they presented cutting-edge research in digital marketing, marketing strategy, and sales innovation. In March, the Marketing Department hosted five speakers, including four Clemson alumni, for a marketing research lunch-and-learn panel. Over 50 students attended to learn more about careers in this field. We wrapped up year two of our inaugural Industry Advisory Board and will host our spring meeting on April 27th, the day before our 13th annual Tiger Paw Classic student-run golf fundraiser. Advisory Board member Lisi Lerch also hosted a group of students and faculty at America’s Mart in Atlanta, where they learned about retailing and merchandising.
We recognized many impressive student accomplishments at the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business Honors and Awards Ceremony, held on April 15, including our own Mabel Tunstall (Marketing Department intern) receiving the Trevillian Award, a top honor in the College. Finally, we are so proud of our first cohort of the new M.S. Marketing program, who will graduate in May and head off to start their marketing careers. As we head into summer, we are so grateful for your continued support of our programs and students and look forward to hopefully seeing you in Tigertown in the near future! Go Tigers! Thank you!
Jennifer Siemens, Ph.D.

Every year, one student assumes the role of event manager for the tournament, where they have the task of planning and running the entire event.
