Partner Holiday Season Performances on Our Campuses: The Nutcracker and the Mini-nut

Magical dolls, life-sized mice, dancing snowflakes, and an enchanting kingdom of sweets return to stage this holiday season for Maryland Youth Ballet’s full-length production of The Nutcracker.
Also presenting The Mini-Nut, Maryland Youth Ballet’s abbreviated version of The Nutcracker, geared towards younger audiences. This one hour version is a great introduction to ballet for our youngest theatre goers! Date: December 10-26. Click here to see exact dates and times of the performances.

Being a Student Parent at Montgomery College Event

Join us to hear student parents share their personal stories of overcoming barriers in pursuit of their college degrees, followed by a question-and-answer session. We will be joined by Nicole Lynn Lewis, Founder & CEO of Generation Hope- a regional nonprofit that engages education and policy partners to drive systemic change and provides direct support to teen parents in college as well as their children through holistic, two-generation programming.

Free Citizenship Preparation for Community Members

Are you a legal, permanent resident preparing for the U.S. citizenship test and interview?
Montgomery College provides FREE citizenship preparation classes on Zoom and in-person. In partnership, Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services offers help with the N-400 application for naturalization. Upcoming in-person orientation sessions:

Thursday, December 8, at 6 p.m. at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus
Saturday, December 10, at 9 a.m. at the Rockville Campus

Montgomery College @ the Library

Montgomery College will be hosting a virtual Career Exploration workshop on Tuesday, December 13, at 6:30 p.m. in partnership with Montgomery County Public Libraries. You will learn about how to evaluate your career interests, abilities, programs of study, and jobs.

Free Adult ESOL Program

The Adult ESOL program provides basic English language and life skills instruction to Maryland residents whose native language is not English. Most classes are FREE! In-person application events for Spring 2023 Adult ESOL classes will be December 10- December 15, 2022.

All students must apply in person in December 2022 at the time and location where they want to take classes. Spring 2023 ESOL classes are in person only (no online regular ESOL classes).
