Award Recognition & Educational Experience Applications Due Sept 15 |
|
|
|
Citizenship Award- Citizenship is an individual’s response to their membership in a community. A member selected for this recognition should have high participation, strong achievement, and various leadership and community service roles. Youth who have completed at least grade 11 are eligible.
Leadership Award- The member is selected for outstanding work as a Youth Leader at the club and county level. Emphasis is placed upon leadership, teaching, and sharing as a Youth Leader. Youth who have completed at least grade 9 are eligible.
4-H Growth Achievement Award- This award recognizes a member’s overall accomplishment in 4-H over a period of time. It is earned by a member who shows a positive attitude, involvement, growth, breadth, and depth in project, club, and county 4-H activities. Youth who have completed at least grade 9 are eligible.

2026-2027 Educational Experience Funding- To be eligible for funding for an educational experience, submit a completed application by Sept 15 and participate in an interview. Visit our website to see a full list of opportunities.
2026 4-H Key Award- The Key Award is the highest state 4-H award earned by members who have shown consistent growth in their 4-H involvement, developed and applied their leadership skills, and actively participated in their 4-H club and community. Youth in grades 11-13 are eligible. Up to 4 recipients from Fond du Lac County can be selected. Completed applications are due Sept 15 and applicants must interview.

4-H Alumni Award - This recognizes an individual who, at one time, was a 4-H member and currently shows support for the 4-H program.
- Friend of 4-H - This recognizes an individual, business, or group from the community that has shown support for the 4-H Program in a variety of ways.

Meritorious Leader - This recognizes an individual who was never a 4-H member and currently shows concern and responsibility as a 4-H Leader.
- 4-H Volunteer of the Year (less than 10 years of service) - Recognizes individuals who have done an outstanding job of volunteering.

Lifetime Volunteer of the Year (10 or more years of service) - Recognizes individuals who have done an outstanding job of volunteering.

Youth in grades K-2 are invited to enter their pumpkins into the annual Cloverbud Pumpkin Contest on Saturday, October 10 at 10am at the Fond du Lac County Campus!
Cloverbuds may enter homegrown pumpkins or decorated pumpkins. Pumpkins will be judged by smallest in height, most unusual shape, tallest in height, largest in circumference, smallest in weight, roundest looking, and best pumpkin color, as well as decorated pumpkins in one of the following categories: scariest, funniest, most colorful, most unique, and use of 4-H theme.
Youth of any age with homegrown pumpkins are also encouraged to enter their pumpkins into the Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off at Fondy FallToberfest after the Cloverbud contest!

The Hall of Fame recognizes 4-H volunteers, financial supporters, staff, and pioneers who made major contributions to the 4-H movement at the local, state, and national levels. Any group or individual is eligible to submit a nomination for consideration.
All nominations must be submitted electronically by November 2, 2026.
