What to know today:

The Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation (FEC) moved into a cutting-edge new home at the beginning of the 2026 Fall semester. Located at the intersection of Perimeter and Cherry Roads, the 82,436 square-foot building offers significant environmental and sustainability advantages.

The 2027 employee holiday calendar is now available on the Office of Human Resources website. To allow for an extended Winter Break (December 24-31), there will be no optional holiday in 2027.

Manning N. “Nick” Lomax ‘63, who held a variety of roles during a 31-year administrative career at Clemson University, passed away on Thursday, September 3, at 84 years old.

The Department of Art Faculty Exhibition, “Artists Teaching : Teaching Artists,” will be on view in the Lee Gallery until October 6, showcasing the creative research, artistic practices and educational activities of Clemson’s art and design faculty.

PEE DEE REC FIELD DAY

The Pee Dee Research and Education Center held its annual Field Day last Thursday, hosting growers, agricultural researchers and other industry professionals. The expo featured various events, ranging from field tours to research presentations on the latest in agronomic crop production.

Clemson University has expanded its research security program with a team of professionals in the Office of Research Security who provide consultation and training to researchers.

The Creative Inquiry + Undergraduate Research office is seeking applications for the Carr Family Endowed CI award. The award provides $4,000 for one year to enhance and support eligible Creative Inquiry projects. The application deadline is September 30.
