Federation partner, the Jewish Community Relations Council, has teamed up with our friends at the Washington Jewish Week to create the 2022 DC Jewish Primary Voter’s Guide. This Voter’s Guide was compiled by sending survey questions on important topics to each candidate in a contested race for their party’s nomination.

Ukraine Relief Efforts

Federation and our partners on the ground in Ukraine continue the crucial work of supporting those in need — including Ukraine’s 200,000+ Jews — as millions of Ukrainians flee or are internally displaced. To date, Federation’s Ukraine Emergency Fund and Federations across North America have raised a collective $64 million to meet urgent needs, and we are immensely grateful to the thousands of donors who have given so generously.

Juneteenth Shabbat Celebration

Washington Hebrew Congregation and their Jews of Color group will recognize Juneteenth with a weekend full of celebration, including a special Shabbat service (also available via livestream). On Sunday, the celebration continues for a screening of Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America at the Edlavitch DCJCC.

Hunger Action at Home: Pride Edition

Help Federation partner Edlavitch DCJCC make sweet treats for the staff and clients at Casa Ruby. Pick your favorite cookie, bar, or sweet treat recipe to prepare at home. Wrap them individually and drop them off at the EDCJCC on Thursday, June 16^th between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. The treats will be delivered to Casa Ruby along with a full meal prepared at the JCC by volunteers.

Pozez JCC Blood Drive
Join Federation partner Pozez JCC to donate blood for the American Red Cross on Wednesday, June 22^nd, 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM, and help replenish Fairfax County's critically low blood supply this season.
