INFORMATION & UPDATES

Late Night Miami is doing a call for spring programs:
With fall in full swing, Miami Activities and Programming (MAP) is beginning to plan their spring Late Night Miami calendar. Over the last year, the program has seen the bulk of its success due to the partnerships we have made and the departments that sponsor events throughout the year. Now let us know what you would like to plan for the Spring 2017 semester!

Same rules apply...
1. You let us know what event you would like to host
2. We give you up to $2000 to make that event come to life

Tech CHARGE of the Week

From Jen O'Brien (I needed something stronger than "Tip" this week)
CHARGE: Use 25Live to put your events on the Miami Calendar.
WHY: For several reasons. We're doing some great work in Student Affairs and hosting events that are engaging, challenging, fun and inspiring. But we are not always so great about letting the world know what we are doing. Remember: 25Live is currently THE university calendaring system. And it benefits all of us to put our events on that calendar (i.e. showing prospective students all the cool things we do, attracting current students to attend the events, providing legitimacy to the event, and showing off what we do in the Division).
But isn't this an extra step if you're not using 25Live to schedule space? Yes. However, the administration has taken notice of the drop in the number of Miami calendar events this year (due to maybe the Hub, EMS and a variety of other factors) and they are looking to Student Affairs to repopulate that calendar.
HOW? It's all explained in this Google Doc
