On Sunday, December 10th, at approximately 5:14 p.m., the NYU Department of Campus Safety received a report of a fondling that occurred directly outside of Alumni Hall.
The complainant, an NYU student, reported that at 5:14 p.m., while they were walking into Alumni Hall, an unidentified suspect grabbed their buttocks. Another person witnessed the event and struck the suspect with an umbrella. The suspect then fled the scene. The complainant went inside and reported the incident to the officer at Alumni Hall. Another student, overhearing the incident, reported that they had witnessed the suspect harassing two unknown people on 9th Street.
NYPD has been notified of the incident. No additional information is known at this time.
Description of Reported Offender:
The suspect is described as male presenting, about six feet in height, with a beard, dark hair and wearing a large beige jacket.
