Tara Mitchell and her mother, Susan Smith, were set to graduate from different universities on the same day, but thanks to a surpise plan by Mitchell, they were able to share the same ceremony—the first of many shared experiences.

 Alumni Profile 

Jordan Zarka (MSCJ, '16) is an Adult Probation Officer for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Illinois. She works with Drug Court and Mental Health Court clients, supervising them in the community and monitoring their compliance with court programs. As she neared graduation, she decided to choose a topic for her seminar research paper that tied closely to her job, focusing on Mental Health Court programs in the United States.
