Newhouse Printing's parent company is committed to developing our staff as professionals and individuals.  As part of this commitment, TRAXIUM hosted a sales training event in Cleveland in June featuring keynote speaker, Mr. Bill Farquharson. Bill is a nationally recognized sales trainer, presenter and author with a concentration in the graphics arts industry. He has trained and coached individuals from companies such as Xerox, Fuji Xerox, HP Indigo, Heidelberg, EFI, and Konica-Minolta.  Sharing 35 years of experience with wit and wisdom, his sales tip videos, weekly blog, and monthly column for Printing Impressions magazine are viewed and read by thousands of printing executives.

BRING YOUR PUP TO WORK

The team at Newhouse Printing loves having visitors come, especially the furry kind! Recently John Carpenter's dog, Blair, came by and the NHP team was thrilled. Blair exceeded all of her responsibilities as "Man's Best Friend" and is currently waiting to be promoted to the official "Watchdog" of Newhouse Printing! If you hear a bark in the background , she is just trying to protect the office! Follow Blair on Instagram @blair_carp to see her adventures.
ADD MORE MINUTES
TO YOUR DAY

Here are five simple time management tips that’ll help add much-needed minutes to your day.

Do it now. If a task can be done in a couple of minutes or less, make it a rule to do it now. Putting it off and making a mental note to do it later not only takes extra time, but it adds stress because your mental to-do list just keeps growing.

Set a timer. Go up against the clock. If you don’t want to waste too much time on a task like cleaning the kitchen or grocery shopping, set a timer. It will keep you mindful of your time and make sure you complete it efficiently.

Keep something to do in your purse (or briefcase or car). Wait time can be painful, whether it’s at the doctor’s office or sitting on hold with customer service. Make use of that time by always having something to do, whether it’s catching up on your reading, making a work call or filling out school paperwork.

Use that DVR. If you have a DVR, never watch a show live. That way you can breeze through all the commercials and use those extra minutes productively.

Turn it off. Log out of social media accounts for a couple of hours a day or leave your cell phone upstairs for a time. At least once a day, make a point to unplug and focus on the tasks at hand without the distraction of pings and notifications.
