From the V.C. Kays House, Beth and Kelly reflect on the significance of the restoration and the new mission of the former president’s home - the location for the Arkansas State Heritage Sites program. The replica of former Governor Mike Beebe’s state capitol office is a highlight of the displays.
Highlighting the innovation of faculty, Kelly talks about another nearby former campus residence, converted into the Simulation Training and Resource (STAR) House by the Department of Social Work for use by several A-State programs. They talk about the progress in recruiting and retention, and salute the hard work by staff and students to achieve national and international scholarship awards.
Upcoming special events for high school juniors, the Pact Fact Walk and findings of the Huron Consulting report are discussed. In closing, Kelly reminds us all about the resiliency of Arkansas State and that working together, our best days as a university are ahead.
