Professor Erich Dietrich Joining
NYU Abu Dhabi
| |
Professor Erich Dietrich has been appointed Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at NYU Abu Dhabi. In this role, he will lead and support inclusion and belonging in all aspects of the curriculum and academic life of students, faculty, and the community.
A note from Erich: I am thrilled to be joining NYU Abu Dhabi full-time, a place that has been close to my heart since its inception. With students enrolled from all over the world, NYUAD is a shining example of how a university grounded in the liberal arts and sciences plus engineering can transform lives and contribute to societies. I am immensely grateful to all of my students and colleagues.
Professor Teboho Moja commented that “[Erich’s] tireless dedication, unwavering guidance, and excellent teaching record has had an impact on our students." Erich will be missed, but it’s safe to say that the entirety of the program and community is excited to see what is forthcoming.

Study Abroad with Higher Education
| |
Global Perspectives: Ghana, with Professor Teboho Moja, March 16-24 The study trip to Ghana is designed to provide an opportunity to examine Ghana’s higher education system. Through visits to universities and public and private colleges, we will engage in discussions with university leadership, faculty members, deans of students and their staffs, and students themselves, which will help us understand how higher education meets the social, political, and cultural needs of Ghanaian society.
Community Colleges: Los Angeles, with Professor Ann Marcus, March 16-24
Community colleges are a major gateway to opportunity and enroll nearly half of the United States' students of every race and ethnicity. Offered in an intensive format, we visit six colleges in one of the most diverse and complex cities in the U.S. Meetings with leaders, faculty, staff, and students focus on campus life, remediation, and transfer and career support.
More information will be available by August, and applications will open in September.
