Sen. Todd Young, NSF Director Sethuraman Panchanathan visit Notre Dame

On Thursday, April 25, Sethuraman Panchanathan, director of the U.S. National Science Foundation, joined U.S. Sen. Todd Young in a visit to campus. The pair met with faculty, students and University leaders and discussed how research and innovation can drive better policymaking, grow the local economy and contribute to national security.

Dean Shepherd, the Ray and Milann Siegfried Professor of Entrepreneurship at Mendoza, finds that as women climb societal ladders, the perception that they are a threat increases, prompting protective responses to safeguard existing societal gender norms.
