Dear Spartans,
Exciting new dining experiences are coming to the Student Union!
You asked for more variety, greater value, and exciting new dining options, and we listened.Guided by campus dining surveys and feedback, Spartan Eats worked closely with campus partners, including the Student Union, Associated Students, the Division of Student Affairs, Housing, and other university partners, to bring these new concepts to life for the SJSU community.
The former Subway location is being transformed into 7th Street Subs, a new Spartan Eats concept designed specifically for the SJSU community. Featuring fresh-baked bread, quality ingredients, and made-to-order sandwiches. The menu will include vegetarian and vegan selections, along with a halal chicken offering. Students can also look forward to a Value Menu and Daily Deals, making it easy to enjoy a satisfying meal at a student-friendly price.
We're also excited to welcome bb.q Chicken, a globally recognized Korean fried chicken brand known for its crispy, flavorful chicken and signature sauces. The new restaurant will be located in the former Build Pizza space in the Student Union and will feature a variety of Korean-inspired menu items, offering another exciting dining option for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing the dining experience at SJSU by expanding choice, accommodating a variety of preferences, and introducing concepts that align with what our community is asking for.
We'll be sharing more details about menus, opening dates, and grand opening festivities in the coming weeks. Be sure to follow Spartan Eats on social media and keep an eye on your inbox for updates.
We can't wait to welcome these exciting new additions to the Student Union.
