Hero Central Success!
Ask a child about this year's VBS, and you will hear about the exciting super-hero adventure had by all!  Rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of our leaders or the participants, (though it was mighty nice to have some outside time on Tuesday evening!). Click here to see some photos of how our children were engaged and challenged this week.  We are very grateful for all the adults and youth that helped VBS 2017 run so smoothly!
Parkway Hills Ministry With the Homeless
We have one week left to collect items to share with the guests of Grace Place in Jackson.  We'll meet there next Wednesday morning, (the 31st), at 8:30 am to worship, serve a meal, and deliver bags filled with travel-sized toothpaste, hand sanitizer, dental floss, a washcloth, and nutritious snacks. NEW THIS YEAR: we are adding insect repellent to this delivery. (Grace Place recommends boxes of Deep Woods OFF! Towelettes; they are easy to divide and will go a long way.)  If you don't have time to shop, leave a donation and we'll be glad to shop for you.
Can you join us Wednesday?  Contact Juliet Huam and let her know!
Women's Bible Study Begins Soon!
Have you marked your calendars?  Beginning on June 5th, at 6:00 pm, you are invited to join other Parkway Hills Women to study 2nd Timothy, using Beth Moore's study, "Entrusted".  We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone! God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves; but we need each other to stay the course and live lives of faithfulness. Worried you won't have the time to commit to a study right now? You aren't alone - watch the video below and you may be encouraged to find a way to manage it for 6 Monday evenings!  Questions? Contact Pat Franklin.
5 ways to enjoy Entrusted
This is the last week we officially celebrate our beautiful new chairs and all they represent with our "second mile" stewardship campaign: Pull up a Chair!
Replenishing our budget positions us to continue to follow God's lead into new opportunities, mission and ministry.  Consider an over-and-above-your-pledge gift of $60 to represent pulling up a chair for a visitor, $240 to welcome a family, or maybe $720 to make a connection with an entire row of people longing to be connected with a loving God and community!

Our children's ministry extends far beyond our annual VBS.  Every Sunday, talented, committed, and prepared teachers enjoy getting to know your children and helping them learn about our mighty God!

We are thankful for the hands that create beautiful quilts to wrap children in the love of Jesus, and to cover them with our prayers!
