| Equestrian Center Task Force
An Equestrian Task Force will be formed to develop recommendations for both short and long-term facility improvements to the Equestrian Center. Recommendations will include funding plans. The Task Force will have 5-7 residents as well as Master Association Board and staff representatives. If you are interested in serving on the Task Force, you must submit an application by Thursday, Sept. 15. | Circle Drive Lower Parking Area Now Open at Community Center
The new circle drive parking area (lower parking lot) at the Community Center is now open! The new area has handicapped and short-term parking (max 10 minutes). If you are visiting the Community Center for more than 10 minutes, you need to park in the upper parking lot. The circle drive is now designated a fire lane and drop-offs are not allowed unless you are pulling into the short-term parking spots.

| Saddlewood Park Scheduled to Open SaturdayStaff is planning to open the newly renovated Saddlewood Park on Saturday! The park is located at the intersection of Vail Pass and Rabbit Ears Pass. There is a new playground, landscaping and irrigation system. New sod was planted as part of the renovations. The sod will be fenced off temporarily to give it time to root.

| Equestrian Center Quarterly Meeting and Love Your Barn Spruce-Up EventThere will be an Equestrian Center Quarterly Meeting on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9-10 a.m. at the Equestrian Office. Coffee, tea and pastries will be provided. A meeting agenda will be posted on our website prior to the meeting. Then at 10 a.m., show your support for the Equestrian Center by helping to spruce up the facility! Bring your rakes, brooms, buckets, etc. Everyone is welcome!

| Town Hall Budget MeetingThe Town Hall Budget Meeting of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association and Metropolitan District is Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Ranch House. The meeting is being held in conjunction with the September Joint Study Session. This meeting signifies the beginning of the annual budget preparation process and is the first opportunity for residents to provide input for the 2017 budgets. To give you an idea of what goes into the budgets, you can review the 2016 budgets for both organizations on the Budgets & Reports page on our website. An agenda will be posted online by the end of this week. | SilverSneakers Open HouseKen-Caryl has partnered with SilverSneakers to offer this insurance benefit included in more than 65 Medicare health plans. Through SilverSneakers, health plans and group retirement plans provide a gym membership to their insured participants ages 65 and older at no additional cost. The Community Center is having two SilverSneakers Open Houses in September. Staff will be available to answer questions about classes and equipment and would like feedback on possible future SilverSneakers classes.

| Preparing for Wildfire in Ken-Caryl: Firewise Home Safety Info MeetingThe Ken-Caryl Firewise Committee will host an educational meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shaffer Room at the Ranch House. Residents are invited to attend and learn more about preparing for wildfire in Ken-Caryl. Representatives from the Ken-Caryl Firewise Committee, West Metro Fire Rescue and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will provide information on wildfires, emergency incidents and safe evacuation.
