Dear Wagner Students,

Welcome to our fall semester at Wagner! To the new members of our community, we are thrilled you’re here. To those who are returning, welcome back! The year is already off to a terrific start and there is much excitement ahead, especially related to our new home!

This summer Wagner moved into our new home at 105 East 17th Street. We are settling in and making it our own. This week I was delighted to see students, faculty, and staff chatting in the halls, meeting in conference rooms, and lounging together in our new space. The ground floor with our state-of-the art classrooms and main event space will be ready in the spring semester.

Please join us for our annual Student Involvement Fair today in our new space from 5:00-6:30 pm. You’ll learn more about getting involved with Wagner's 25+ student groups and other leadership opportunities throughout Wagner. 

This email, as part of my regular, monthly newsletter series, will recap important happenings, showcase Wagner’s exciting work, and continue to keep our community connected. 

This semester, we welcome new full-time faculty member Aaron Bekemeyer, and the New York Public Library’s Iris Weinshall (a proud Wagner alumna) will join us in the spring as our Distinguished Visiting Urbanist.

We are pleased to announce that full-time faculty member Jamie Levine Daniel is now the Henry and Marilyn Taub Foundation Associate Professor of Nonprofit Management and Public Service. The Taub Professor serves in a leadership capacity in the Dual Degree Program in Nonprofit Management and Jewish Leadership.

The NYU Migration Network, led by NYU Wagner Professor Natasha Iskander is holding a day-long conference – Immigration and the 2024 U.S. Election – on  Thursday, September 19, in Greenberg Lounge at the NYU Law School. Learn more and RSVP here.

Join the NYU Wagner community for the annual Henry Hart Rice Urban Policy Forum on Thursday, October 10. This year, we are pleased to welcome leading urban thinker Vishaan Chakrabarti as our speaker. Please RSVP here and note our location change this year!

Union Square Partnership is seeking student volunteers to assist with a Public Life Study of Union Square Park's South Plaza, steps from Wagner’s new home on 17th Street.
