This semester, we welcome new full-time faculty member
Aaron Bekemeyer, and the New York Public Library’s
Iris Weinshall (a proud Wagner alumna) will join us in the spring as our Distinguished Visiting Urbanist.
We are pleased to announce that full-time faculty member
Jamie Levine Daniel is now the Henry and Marilyn Taub Foundation Associate Professor of Nonprofit Management and Public Service. The Taub Professor serves in a leadership capacity in the Dual Degree Program in Nonprofit Management and Jewish Leadership.
The NYU Migration Network, led by NYU Wagner Professor Natasha Iskander is holding a day-long conference –
Immigration and the 2024 U.S. Election – on Thursday, September 19, in Greenberg Lounge at the NYU Law School.

- Professor Laura Wherry was appointed to the Executive Office of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors. She will be on leave from NYU Wagner this academic year.
- Current NYU Wagner graduate student Bryan Matthew (MPA-PNP 2025), undergraduate student DeVoni Gale (BA Public Policy 2026), and alumni Aisha Balogun (MUP 2023) and Elizabeth (Nikki) Miller (MPA 2023) were all named Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) Equity & Inclusion Fellows for 2024.

If you are unsure whether to use the Bias Response Line, local Wagner staff can assist in managing your IDBEA-related concerns:

- For student concerns - David Schachter, Associate Dean, Student Affairs
- For faculty concerns - Rajeev Dehejia, Associate Dean, Academic Affairs and Professor
- David Schachter is also NYU Wagner’s Global Inclusion Officer this academic year.
