The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering faced new challenges and overcame the difficulties of COVID-19 by adjusting its teaching and learning methods in its Unit Operations lab while students and faculty were not allowed on campus.
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is proud to officially welcome Suzanne Roat as a professor of practice and Ming Yang as an assistant professor to Clemson University.
Christopher Pierce, a junior in chemical engineering, was recently awarded funding through the Student-Initiated Research Program of SC INBRE (IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence). Pierce will use this funding to pursue his project in drug delivery, biomedicine, and neuroscience.
Larsen was honored with the 2020 Bradley Faculty Award for Mentoring in Creative Inquiry. She is the department’s first recipient in the the award’s 13-year history.
CU-CIA-funded project “Towards the Creation of Biomimetic Complement Protein: Understanding Self-Assembly in Whole Blood” led Jessica Larsen and Honors College Undergraduate (’20) Lauren Maghak to an accidental discovery.
