From the Ranch House

Ranch House Reopening Update
Here’s an update on the Ranch House, which reopened on Monday — for tennis only. As we mentioned a week ago, we requested a variance through Garfield County to allow us to open the lap pool. The variance was denied, so the lap pool remains closed. Next week, Colorado Governor Jared Polis is expected to announce revised guidelines that should result in a new public health order, possibly with relaxed social distancing restrictions. We are closely monitoring whatever changes the state makes to the public health order, as well as any resulting Garfield County actions that might affect us. We will, of course, let you know as soon as the Ranch House is able to open additional facilities and activities.

Finally, given the Ranch House’s limited opening, there isn’t much to do there, for now, except pick up your mail and play tennis. If you do go to the Ranch House, please continue to be vigilant about maintaining social distancing, and be sure to wear a mask, as now required by the Town of Carbondale in all indoor public spaces.

Our Covid-19 infection rates in Garfield County have been very low, compared to much of the rest of the country. Thank you for doing your part to help keep it that way.

DRC Requests
During this “Stay and Home” and “Safer at Home” time we have had a significant increase of  Design Review (Renovation Application Permit)  request such as raised gardens, fences, house painting, tree removals, tree plantings, roofing projects, exterior home improvements and more. We love that the homes in our beautiful community  are getting such extra care and attention! For many, this is the first time to be navigating this process here are some tips and steps to follow. Click here to learn more about the design review process and how to submit a request. Please note due to number of applications the turnaround time for review and response of any request  is at least two to three weeks.

Reminders & Highlights

Deer Fencing Storage
A reminder to RVR residents who are storing their deer fencing for the summer season: please make sure it’s stored out of sight — from the street and from your neighbors. Whether that means storing the fencing in your basement, attic, crawl space, or offsite away from RVR — please find a place for the deer fencing that has no visual impact on the RVR community.
