As spring wraps up, the RMC leadership is proud to share a season full of milestones. Our first class of students has officially matched into competitive residency programs and will graduate on May 18th. The second cohort has completed core clerkships and is preparing for the application cycle, while our newest group has started clinical rotations after finishing Foundations of Clinical Practice.
In April, students from all three RMC cohorts participated in the Research Day Symposium, presenting their posters alongside peers across the institution. One of our own, Ena Oboh, received an award for her outstanding research. Photos from the event are included in this newsletter.
We also hosted a well-attended faculty town hall and an engaging development session with Dee Dee Hermann from the Center for Faculty Excellence. On May 9, we celebrated the graduation of our first cohort with a local event, recognizing Tony Chang with a student award, Dr. Matthew Zeller with a resident teaching award, and Dr. Sonia Sugumar with a faculty teaching award.
Stay tuned this summer for opportunities to get involved as a coach, committee member, or community preceptor. Feel free to reach out to Dean Sharps or our team with ideas and feedback.
