September is Women in Medicine Month!

Thank you to these outstanding female leaders for dedicating your time to serve on the NAM and MFN Boards of Directors! We appreciate each of you, and it is an honor to work with you.
Did you know that the Nashville Academy of Medicine and Tennessee Women in Medicine have been organizational partners since 2017?  We encourage all female members of NAM to consider joining TWM, and we often host educational events and receptions together like the one photographed below in 2019.  Visit tennesseewomeninmedicine.com to learn more about this great organization!

Virtual meeting TONIGHT about Covid-19.

Join us for our next All Member Virtual with TMA TONIGHT - on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 6:00 p.m.
This meeting will feature NAM members, Sapna Kripalani, MD,  and William Schaffner, MD, and will be moderated by M. Kevin Smith, MD - all from Vanderbilt University.  They will address the effect of the Delta variant in Tennessee (including hospitalizations, ICU, deaths and differences compared to other variants), and the clinical treatment of long-haul COVID (or PASC).
NAM Members, register here to attend tonight's meeting.

2021 Legislative Summary.

As we start looking ahead to next year's legislative session, we'd like to share some of our achievements during the 2021 session. TMA was hard at work passing four bills, tracking more than 350 bills and amending 18 bills in order to better serve the practice of medicine and the needs of our physician members and their patients.
