WELCOME TO INTRODUCKTION 2020!

To kick off our virtual experience, you'll be meeting with your SOSer and flock groups this week to discuss what our programming will look like throughout the summer. Watch for the email from your SOSer with the link to your virtual flock meeting.

FACULTY PERSPECTIVES

The first weekly faculty perspectives mock class sessions start Thursday, July 9. You'll need to join 10 sessions total over the course of the summer. This week's topics and registration links below.

Engage with world-renowned UO researchers to explore the Impact of COVID-19 on local and global communities at 10:30 a.m. PDT.
Join faculty working to understand and address social inequities and to create paths for community change in the sesson on Anti-racism and Black Lives Matter at noon PDT.
Understanding and addressing climate change is crucial to protecting our shared future. UO faculty share their work on the Environment and Climate Change at 1:30 p.m. PDT.
Meet with UO writers, artists, performers, and scholars working to understand humanistic endeavors and how these impact our world in the Engaged Humanities at 3:00 p.m. PDT.
Study start-ups and business models to generate bold answers for some of society's hardest questions in an exploration of Innovation and Entrepeneurship at 4:30 p.m. PDT.

INTEREST SESSIONS

The first day of interest sessions is Friday, July 10. All sessions are open to students, parents, and families. This week's topics and registration links below.

University Housing will present Where Ducks Live from noon–1:00 p.m. PDT with an overview of residence halls, room types, dining options, meal plans, roommate selection, and more.
Join the Accessible Education Center from 1:45–2:30 p.m. to learn about available support and how to get started with the AEC. Students who experience disability related barriers are encouraged to attend this overview session.
Taking care of your health has never been more important. Join the University Health Services for an overview of the health and wellness programs available to you, 3:15–4:00 p.m. PDT.

JUST FOR FUN

The UO Student Recreation Center is hosting a Gentle Yoga group class for IntroDUCKtion students Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. PDT. Emphasis is on breathing and relaxation; all fitness levels welcome. Zoom password 573281.
