The NYSBA featured work by Piero Sauñe Casas ’25, including his article “Navigating Corporate Transparency Under Federal and State Disclosure Laws” and his case comment on “The Fang Holdings Case”
Erinn Lew ’25 teamed with mentor J.J. Sherman ’00 to co-author “Commercial Leasing in Fire-Prone Areas” for the California Lawyers Association.
The NYSBA published an article on lender protections by Imrajdeep Sahota ’25.
The California Lawyers Association featured “New Protections for Commercial Tenants Under CA SB 1103,” an article co-written by Jessie Staley ’25 and J.J. Sherman ’00.
We’re pleased to announce the launch of Commentaries on N.Y. Real property Law, a Substack produced by students on the NYRPLJ’s Executive Board. To date, the student editors have published over 30 posts on current issues in real estate law.
Our Real Estate Fellows help to produce our Real Estate Alumni Spotlight Series, gaining mentorship while broadening their networks. The spotlights showcase alumni career paths in practice, policy, and development.

Bella Garabedian ’26 was named a Goldie Scholar by the Goldie B. Wolfe Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative. She is the first St. John’s Law student to earn that honor. Bella also took first place in the NYSBA Real Property Law Section Writing Competition with her paper on foreclosure safe harbors.
Lincoln Robison Gee ’26 spent the summer working at Build Up Justice NYC as the 2025 Mattone Institute Public Interest Fellow.
Jarif H. Khan ’25 was awarded the SAME – Gogick, Byrne & O’Neill LLP Scholarship, which supports future leaders in construction law.
Natalie McIntosh ’25 won this year’s Mattone Institute Writing Competition with her paper, “Why Can’t I Buy a Home?”
Alexia O’Brien ’25 was named a 2025 WX Scholar by New York Women Executives in Real Estate.
Emilio Teta ’26 received both the American Immobiliare Scholarship and a Columbian Lawyers Association award honoring Joseph M. Mattone, Sr. ’53C, ’55L, ’94HON.
