Coming to the Extension Office?
Our Extension office availability will be changing greatly due to the elimination of our Administrative Assistant Position (Kathy's position) by the Marathon County Board. Due to meetings and staff programs, our educators have limited time in the office. It would be best to call either of these numbers if you are planning to stop in the office. If you have other needs, please feel free to reach out via email.

WVF Youth Voices
Youth in grades 6 and up are invited to a brainstorming session to share ideas and help shape a more engaging and interactive fair experience for everyone.
Bring ideas for new show/entry classes, update drop off/pick up procedures, reccomendations for judges, and more.

Sleigh the Art
Ready to Sleigh the Art this holiday season? Join other creative teens (grades 6 & up) for a chill evening of festive fun, hands-on art projects, and plenty of holiday vibes. Bring your friends, your creativity, and your best playlist energy — it’s gonna be merry and bright!
Date: Dec 13th Time: 6-8pm Snacks & Hot Chocolate Provided Cost: $10 per youth. Sign up by Dec 3rd

Flake Out is Coming
A sprinkle of winter magic is heading your way!
Join us for the 2025 4-H Flake Out over Christmas Break. Enjoy hands-on project make & takes, a feel-good service-learning project, and a tasty lunch included. It’s the perfect way to chill with friends, spark creativity, and warm hearts during the holiday season.
Bundle up your imagination and flake out with 4-H. We can’t wait to see you there!

Flat Stanley and Stella
Get ready for an exciting mail adventure with Flat Stanley and Flat Stella! In this fun pen pal project, youth in K - 2nd grade will send their own Flat Stanley or Stella to a new friend and receive one in return. Along the way, you'll share stories, take photos, and explore new places together!
The Flat Stanley Project is a fun and creative way for Cloverbuds to explore new places, make new friends, and practice writing all through the mail! Youth will color their own Flat Stanley or Stella, send them on an adventure, and receive a new friend in return. Along the way, they’ll share stories, take photos, and build excitement around reading and connection. It’s a great way to bring learning to life, one envelope at a time!

If you don’t see a project that you have signed up for in the past, check the listings at the back of the 4-H Project Guide. You will find a list of past project areas with the new project areas. If you still don’t see what you are looking for, there is a Self-Determined project in each project grouping; you can choose a unique project to explore.

4-H Space Camp
Registration for 2026 4-H Space Camp opens this week in 4HOnline! Registration is open to youth in grades 6-8 who are newcomers to Space Camp. Space Camp will take place from April 23-27, 2026. This educational experience is a wonderful opportunity for youth to learn about aerospace, STEM, explore Space Camp, meet new people, and more! Registration will open on November 15th.

American Spirit 2026
The 4-H American Spirit Experience is an opportunity for youth in grades 8-10 to immerse themselves in history and heritage through a 10-day bus journey to the East Coast and Canada. Participants will increase their knowledge of American history by visiting significant sites and gain unique exposure to diverse cultural experiences and perspectives foundational to our nation.

Design Your Landscape
In the Design Your Landscape Kit Distance Learning Program, youth in grades 3–8 will discover how science and art connect through landscape design. Learn how to plan, sketch, and design your own outdoor space while exploring topics like plants, soil, and sustainability.
This hands-on project combines creativity with environmental learning which is perfect for youth who love both art and nature! Each kit includes supplies and a design booklet to guide you through your project.

Cultural Baking Series
Register for the free Cultural Baking Series held at 6:30 PM on Dec 4, 11, & 18 via Zoom. We will learn new baking techniques, try new-to-us ingredients, and explore our cultural connection to food. Families supply ingredients and supplies.
Recommended for those in 4th grade and up. Registration closes Nov 17 at Noon:
