Dear Tulane Family Member,
|
|
|
The semester is well underway, campus is lively, and students are busy! You have probably heard your student mention their first few tests and assignments and that midterms are coming up soon. Remind your student to be proactive and take advantage of the variety of resources and people here to support them. If you need details to remind or encourage your student to connect with us, key departments are always listed in the Quick Links section at the bottom of every newsletter issue. Resources, services and opportunities will also be highlighted in each issue. You can also use the "Helpful Info" tab on families.tulane.edu to navigate to the resources parents request most. Use what you learn through an article or webinar to prompt a conversation about your student's progress, challenges and goals.
In the articles below, you will see that we have many options for parents and families to engage with the university, whether Tulane comes to your city with a special event, a regional Tulane club near you hosts a gathering, you visit campus, volunteer for an admission or career support activity or you join us virtually through a webinar. I hope you will always feel welcome in our community. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you feel more informed, connected and included.

Campus Services Updates: Campus Services Reminders: Deliveries, Prohibited Items, Laundry Services and Facilities Requests |
Campus Services is here to help Tulane students navigate campus life. Please keep these important reminders in mind:
Mail Services: We are experiencing delivery issues with some third-party vendors, especially Walmart and Uni Uni. Packages may be left in undesignated locations, increasing the risk of loss or theft. Please order with caution—and remember there are secure lockers on campus for Amazon purchase deliveries. Follow the Mail Services directions for addresses for deliveries from Amazon and other vendors. Consult the prohibited items list so you and your student do not order anything that will be returned to sender.
Cleanerama Laundry Services: Is your student looking for laundry service options? Cleanerama offers quick and reliable laundry services, including dry cleaning. Have your student sign up in the lounge at the PJ’s Coffee shop on Willow Street, which also serves as the pick-up and drop-off location.
Facilities Requests: If your student needs a repair in their room or service to a common space in their building, they should submit a Service Wave request directly to Campus Services! https://campusservices.tulane.edu/service-wave
Questions about Campus Services or other university services? Email us at campusservices@tulane.edu.
