Tim Thomas joins WCJC as Afternoon Drive host, also taking on the role of Promotions Director and Webmaster for the Marion market. Mr. Thomas was previously with Alpha Media in the Chicagoland area. Also, Hoosier AM/FM Kokomo OM and AC/WZWZ (92.5fm, Kokomo) PD Jessica Green adds PD responsibilities for AC/WXXC (106.9fm, Marion). Ms. Green does mornings with Ben rutz on "Kokomo's Z92.5".
Samantha Oyler becomes News Director and Multimedia Journalist for both the Marion and Kokomo markets. Ms. Oyler She previously was a reporter for The Marion Chronicle-Tribune.
Finally, WZWZ was awarded the 2019 IBA Spectrum Award for Station of the Year.
Dave Patrick joins Brewer Broadcasting's Country/WQLK (96.1fm, Richmond) as morning co-host with Sean Lamb ("Kicks 96 Morning Crew"). Mr. Patrick recently exited the Neuhoff/Lafayette cluster.

Kyle Long hosts 'Cultural Manifesto' on Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Media's NPR affiliate/WFYI-FM (90.1fm, Indianapolis). Tomorrow evening's show will feature 'Radio Free Naptown'. The show airs tonight at 8:00pm (Wednesday 7/8) and Saturday 07/11 at 10:00pm, and can also be heard online at wfyi.org.
Radio One does Regional Mexican on their WNOW-FM-HD3 (100.9fm, Speedway) and translator W286CM (105.1fm, Indianapolis) as "La Grande 105.1". PD Grisel Barajas was killed in a motorcycle accident last month (06/14) at only 32 years old. Ms. Barajas also did afternoons, along with middays on sister KROI in Houston, Texas. She also created content and appeared on-air at sister Telemundo affiliate WDNI-CD (Channel 19, Indianapolis). Radio One Regional VP Deon Levingston said in a statement, "The sudden passing of Grisel Barajas has deeply shocked and saddened us. As the Program Director for LaGrande 105.1, Grisel was a valued colleague and trusted friend. She was taken away from us too soon and will be missed by all of us at Radio One Indianapolis and the entire Urban One family. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Grisel's family and friends." Where Are They Now? Former WZPL (99.5fm, Greenfield) night jock and WSTO (96.1fm, Owensboro, Kentucky) PD Jason Addams becomes OM/PD at MacDonald Broadcasting in Saginaw, Michigan. There, he will program four radio stations and handle afternoons on their Country/WKCQ.
