We’re proud to celebrate Richard Barraza and Avril Ferrer, two ILTexas College Station K-8 students selected as National Math Stars—a prestigious 10-year program supporting mathematically gifted students with mentorship, enrichment, and $100,000 in math resources.

All 26 ILTexas campuses united for the YMCA’s Annual State Model United Nations Conference, with 175 student delegates representing our schools with excellence, integrity, and global citizenship.

Highlights include multiple Premier Delegation Awards, two In-Service Awards for teacher sponsors, and an ILTexas student serving on the Secretariat.

Over 30 ILTexas students showed off their skills at the Texas FCCLA State Conference, earning medals, leadership roles, and a trip to Nationals!

Two teams placed in STAR Events, several students earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze in objective tests, and Ilse Bustos was elected as the State VP of Leadership Development and will run for national office!
