YEARBOOK UPDATE
The 2019-2020 yearbook is complete, and a special spring supplement that honors our seniors is almost finished. As long as our printer in Kansas City, Missouri is able to stay on schedule, we should have the books in early July.
The Class of 2020 will receive their yearbooks when they pick up their graduation gowns the week of July 13.
Supplements will likely be delivered in September, and we will mail these to the Class of 2020. Every Brebeuf student will receive a yearbook and supplement.

"TALKING ABOUT RACE" WEB PORTAL
The “National Museum of African American History and Culture” released a “Talking About Race” web portal. It offers resources and strategies for individuals, families, and communities to lean into discussions about race, racial identity, and how racism has affected our communities and perceptions. At Brebeuf we plan to continue having these discussions and engaging our students in experiences that will promote a social justice and equity way of thinking and framework.

MONDAY MORNINGS WITH MR. T
Monday Morning originated as a fun virtual video class update during the COVID-19 pandemic. Monday Morning took on new life during this time as a place to talk about music, the arts and its importance and value to us as humans and the world around us with living artists and performers making special guest appearances. It’s a place to talk about the language of music, theatre, dance, etc. and have real conversations about how this language can be a voice in the world.
Upcoming guests include Broadway's Daniel Klingler (Aladdin), E. Layton Cornelius (Ain't Too Proud), Fred Lassen (Once; Finding Neverland) along with world renowned opera star and Brebuef vocal coach, Angela Brown.

CHECK OUT WHAT'S NEW ON THE GOODS
To end the school year, students in English 10 read an excerpt from Tim O’Brien’s The Things They Carried. O’Brien’s piece recounts soldiers’ experiences in Vietnam and the many things they carried with them, both literal and figurative. Following the reading, students were asked to write their own reflective piece in the spirit of O’Brien’s, considering what they had been carrying, tangible and intangible, with them over our time in quarantine. Caitlin Daly's words resonated in a special way with her class, and we wanted to share it with the entire Brebeuf Community.
