Stress-Buster of the Week
|
Restorative Yoga is a restful practice that is all about slowing down your mind and body through passive stretching. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Through the use of props like bolsters, blocks, and blankets for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly. Restorative Yoga deeply relaxes the body, stills a busy mind, releases tension, and much more.
UChicago Student Wellness offers Restorative Yoga classes on Tuesdays from 4 - 5 pm in the Student Wellness Center. Classes are drop-in, first come, first served, or you can register here.
