SPRING 2018 FINAL EXAM SCHEDULE HAS BEEN POSTED
Students are asked to double-check the schedule in order to determine whether or not they have a conflict. A conflict is defined as two exams scheduled at the same time or four exams scheduled in one day. Please report any conflicts to the Principal’s Office.
As always, during final exam days, students are required to be present only during the times they have exams. It is always difficult to find alternative times to take final exams and often it has a detrimental effect on a student’s performance on the exam. Therefore, we ask families to please make every effort to schedule around final exams so that all students are present at their assigned exam times.
If you have any questions about finals scheduling please contact Shani Simonson in the Principal’s Office at ssimonson@brebeuf.org.

Student Spotlight

Loves About Brebeuf
This is a hard question to answer because I can honestly say I love most aspects of Brebeuf. I think one of the many things that sets Brebeuf a part from other schools is the dedication to inclusivity and to living in solidarity with one another. The opportunities Brebeuf gives their students to dive deeper into their communities and into social justice refines the Brebeuf experience. The constant push to be better, try harder and seek more is why I love Brebeuf.
Favorite Class
My favorite classes have been AP Gov with Mr. Kantz, Social Justice with Mr. Connelly, Sociology with Mr. Oliver, Geometry with Mrs. Brandt and every class I have had with Mr. Mensel (World Religions, Moral Decision Making, Taekwondo)
Future Plans
I will be attending American University in Washington, D.C. next year in the School of Public Affairs to study political science.
Teams & Co-Curriculars
Varsity Girls Lacrosse
Kairos 103 Leader
Co-president of Social Justice Club
Treasurer of Gender-Sexuality Alliance
Member of the Student Athletic Leadership Team
Member of the Jewish Student Union
Random Facts
I have 5 siblings.
I play the drums.
I have a dog named Gary
My Grandma was a one-hit wonder Youtube Star.
I was supposed to be named William Jackson III.
What is your current favorite show or series on tv, Netflix, etc?
I don’t watch TV anymore but I really enjoyed Stranger Things and Orange is The New Black.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I would go to outer space. It would be awesome to go to the moon, but any planet will do. I find space extremely interesting and the thought of looking down at earth from another planet amazes me.
In what way have you changed the most since your freshman year?
I think that since freshman year I have grown to be more myself in terms of standing up for what I believe in. For a long time I would remain a bystander in times when I could have been a voice to someone being silenced. I have also seen growth in my desire to learn and to go beyond my comfort zone. Through various classes at Brebeuf I have been pushed by my teachers to think harder and expand my worldview. Those experiences in the classroom and outside the classroom (community service, the Ignatian-Family Teach-In, diversity conferences and dialogues, and school trips) have shaped me into the person I am today.
Attention Students Taking AP Exams
Please refer to the AP exam schedule in your email, and also posted throughout the building, and contact Mrs. Davis in College Counseling as soon as possible if you have TWO AP exams on the same date and time. Thank you!
