NC State Wins Fifth Annual Pantry Bowl

For a fourth consecutive year, NC State claimed a victory over UNC in the annual Pantry Bowl, held each November to raise funds for the Feed the Pack Food Pantry and Carolina Cupboard. The schools combined to raise $358,271 through 3,575 gifts, with Feed the Pack bringing in $207,805 from 2,208 total gifts.

WKNC Earns International Awards
 
NC State student radio station WKNC 88.1 FM HD-1/HD-2 earned multiple awards from the third annual International Student Broadcasting Championship. The station had eight finalists for various awards.

Village Vibes Brings Students Together
 
Recently, students attended Village Vibes, an event that brought together four Living and Learning Villages for an evening of connection, creativity and community. The event invited students to explore the villages through interactive activities.

  • The final Campus Health flu vaccine clinic for NC State students, faculty and staff is Monday, Dec. 8 on the second floor of Hunt Library. Appointments are also available at the Campus Health Center throughout the season.
  • Registration for the Crafts Center’s spring classes will open for faculty, staff and the general public on Dec. 8.
  • DASA Technology has launched a new how-to website that provides a searchable knowledge base of technical support questions and answers.
  • Try the Smashing Mickey, Players Retreat’s new burger, through Dec. 31, with $2 from every burger sold going to University Theatre.

De-Stress Fest Activities for Employees

The end of the semester is a busy time for NC State faculty, staff and students. During the week of Dec. 2-10, which is also Wellness and Recreation’s annual “De-Stress Fest” for students, University Human resources is sponsoring several “de-stress” activities for employees.
