Public Health Services (PHS) funded research training information will soon display in Kuali COI and Kuali Research

Public Health Services (PHS) funded research mandatory training

Every four years, UC San Diego Researchers with Public Health Services (PHS) funded research must complete their PHS training through the UC Learning Center system. PHS Researchers are those who, regardless of their title or role on the project (Investigators and senior/key personnel), receive funding from PHS agencies. In order to release PHS-funded research projects, all Researchers must have completed the PHS training in the past four years as well as their conflict of interest disclosure in Kuali COI.

Public Health Services (PHS) funded research training status will display in Kuali COI and Kuali Research

UC San Diego will be displaying the status of a PHS funded Researcher’s PHS training information from UC Learning Center into Kuali COI on the “PHS federal gating question” screen and Kuali Research on the Key Personnel tab in proposal development or the training table. This visibility will assist the PHS funded Researcher to easily identify whether their PHS training is current, expired or training has never been completed.

A detailed communication will be provided to active Kuali users once the PHS training displays in Kuali COI and Kuali Research.
