Community Garage Sale Friday and Saturday

Date: Friday-Saturday, June 2-3
Time: 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Host a garage sale at your home! There will be multiple sales throughout the community. The Master Association will advertise the sale in the Columbine Courier and on CraigsList, but residents are encouraged to place individual ads for their sales to highlight items they are selling. HOA-approved garage sale signs are available at a discounted price of $3 (normally $5) from now through June 2 at the Ranch House. Don't forget to follow the Signage Guidelines when you place garage sale signs in the community.

Community Center Bike Parking

For Community Center Pool patrons, there is a bike rack on the east side of the pool. There is also a rack located near the pavilion for fitness center and tennis users. We appreciate you parking and locking up your bikes on the racks.

Apartments Proposed South of C-470

A formal application has been submitted to Jefferson County for a development proposal to build 345 apartment units, called the Westerly Apartments, in the northwest corner of the Jefferson Corporate Center (south of C-470 and west of Kipling) adjacent to the southeast corner of the South Hogback Open Space. See map for location. Documents for this case can be accessed through the Planning and Zoning website. Comments and questions can be submitted to Justin Montgomery at 303-271-8792 or jmontgom@jeffco.us.

Fencing and Deer Ramps Along C-470

In May 2016, the Colorado Department of Transportation begun a project to resurface C-470 from south of the I-70 and C-470 interchange to Exit 10 at Ken Caryl Ave. This infrastructure and maintenance project also included some wildlife safety improvements that are nearing completion. Fifteen deer escape ramps and more than 7,800 linear feet of new wildlife fencing was installed. CDOT uses 8-foot high wildlife fencing in conjunction with wildlife crossing structures to keep animals off the road while allowing wildlife safe crossing opportunities and connectivity to habitat. Despite these efforts, wildlife sometimes enter the highway. The deer escape ramps are designed to provide a safe way for wildlife to exit the road right-of-way and to create a barrier that discourages them from entering the highway.
