PACK PACT, Acting for Change Together

Dear Friends:

As we continue our Pack Pact awareness campaign, I invite the A-State family to our next two campus events.

On Tuesday, March 13, we will join together for a Pack Fact Walk through campus. Unity behind the concepts in the Pack Pact and knowledge of the statistics surrounding sexual assault are important goals. I will be there, and I hope you also will take time during the lunch hour to participate. The first 200 people who register for the Pack Fact Walk will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Registration is open online at AState.edu/PackPact.

In early April, we will host Tim Mousseau, a sexual assault survivor, as we begin a week of sexual assault awareness activities. Mousseau’s talk on Monday, April 2, at 3 p.m. in the Reng Student Union Auditorium is open to the entire campus. Our Art+Design students and faculty have designed a special remembrance quilt made from the pockets of denim jeans donated by members of our community. We will unveil the quilt in the first floor of the union that same day, and we encourage everyone to write notes of support for victims that we will place in the pockets. We will collect and read selections at Denim Day later in April.

In closing, I want to remind you that this is an ongoing effort that involved our entire campus. Members of our leadership team are committed and have created the video above to express their support for the campaign and to say why the Pack Pact is important at A-State.

Kelly
