The University of New Orleans Introduces New Sport Business MBA Concentration
|
Beginning in the fall, Master of Business Administration students at the University of New Orleans will be able to pursue a concentration in sport business. The new cluster of courses is ideal for students who are interested in working at the intersection of sports and business.
The University is well-positioned to offer the concentration due to its established degree program and its location in a major sports market, according to Pam Kennett-Hensel, dean of the College of Business Administration.

2023 Dr. Ivan Miestchovich Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forcast Seminar For New Orleans To Be Held April 4
|
The University of New Orleans Institute for Economic Development & Real Estate Research will host the 32nd annual Dr. Ivan Miestchovich Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forecast for New Orleans on Tuesday, April 4 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Sen. Ted Hickey Ballroom, located in the University Center of the University of New Orleans.
Michael Hecht, president and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc., is the featured speaker; he will address the New Orleans regional economy at noon. The morning will begin with the Real Estate Roundtable discussions.

| Homer L. Hitt Presidential Distinguished Lecture Series
|
Join us on Wednesday, April 19th at 7:00PM in the University Center Grand Ballroom as the College of Business Administration and the Founder’s Club present the Homer L. Hitt Presidential Distinguished Lecture Series. Marques Colston, former New Orleans Saints star receiver turned entrepreneur, will be the guest speaker in a fireside chat with Tamica Lee from WGNO as the moderator. Colston will discuss his methodology, “Creating a Separation is a Mindset.”

The P&N team members consisted of Terrence Marshall, Peyton Saunders, Maxwell Eysink, and Emily Anderson.
The P&N team explained various accreditations and the new CPA exam changes to students.

Mary Kay Inc. names James Whatley chief information officer. In his new role, Whatley will champion Mary Kay’s digital innovation efforts. Whatley received his bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems in 1994.

Darcey Delatte is starting a new position as vice president of finance at Louisiana Federal Credit Union. Delatte received her B.S. in Accounting in 1999 and her MBA in 2022.

JD Bank announced that Joseph Darbonne has joined JD Prime Investment Services as a financial consultant in Lake Charles. Darbonne received his MBA in 2009.
