Meet our New Members!
We are so happy to introduce you to Tommy and Aubrey Leigh Goodwin. Tommy and Aubrey Leigh are both Jackson natives, both are lawyers, and both work for the State. Tommy is a Special Assistant Attorney General, and Aubrey Leigh is an Office Director for the Department of Finance and Administration. As you can see, they stay busy with their two active little firecrackers: three-year-old Eli is the blur in Tommy's arms; four-year-old Thomas is playing hide-and-seek behind his legs! The boys, who attend daycare at Galloway's Children Center, love playing in their backyard at home and visiting with their grandparents who live nearby. With all four of them downtown during the week, they've become very aware of the issue of homelessness and their hearts are burdened with a desire to help minister in this area.

They are already in our instant church directory - so please look them up, send them a note of welcome, and help them find ways to use their gifts to Welcome, Grow, Serve and Celebrate with us here at PHUMC!

July's Communion Offering supports
The Sunday Fund
100% of the money donated to The Sunday Fund is used to support seniors who have outlived their resources and can no longer afford the cost of housing or care at one of the 12 MSS campuses across Mississippi. Last year, PHUMC was in the TOP FIVE of overall giving to this fund, helping to ensure that no one has to leave their home because they run out of money. Please consider giving generously again this year, easing burdens and allowing our elders to live with grace and dignity. Thank you.

Dickie Scruggs and his son, Zach, will be the special guests on Bruce's radio program this Sunday, July 3rd, at 8:00 am. Tune in to 103.9 FM, WYAB as you are driving to the early service, or at home as you are getting ready for the 10:45 service. Dickie will share about his mission to help Mississippians receive their GED or skill certifications: Second Chance Mississippi; Zach will share about his recent trip to the Holy Land, and Bruce will give you some background and insight to help you understand the morning's message.

Continue to pray for a great time of relationship building, memory making, and deep spiritual growth for our Youth and their Leaders while they are at Lake J. They've had a great time so far: recreation, worship, even helping lead a VBS!

Thank you to all who contributed bags to our Luggage Drive for the foster children of MCHS.
STOP NOW! It was such a success that we have OVERWHELMED their distribution system.
Really. It is a nice problem to have, but we have more than filled their needs for the present time. We'll let you know when we have another drive to help them. (It may be back-to-school supplies this fall.) Thanks again for your generosity!

The Church office will be closed on Monday, July 4th. Take a tip from these three cuties and enjoy some time outside for the holiday! (Popsicles optional, but highly recommended.)
