Federal Clearinghouse Reports
NASBA and the Enforcement Resources Committee are continually looking for ways to help boards with their enforcement efforts. It was recently brought to our attention that some states use the Federal Audit Clearinghouse to identify firms located in their states that conduct audits.  -read more-

CAC Hosts First-Ever Open PROC Conference Call
Upon request by the California Board of Accountancy, the Compliance Assurance Committee (CAC) hosted the first-ever open conference call for all Board of Accountancy PROC Members, Board Members and staff. The call took place on Wednesday, September 10 with 30+ registered attendees from around the country.  -read more-

The Enforcement Resource Guide (ERG) is a useful resource on NASBA.org that allows accountancy board Executive Directors to benefit from the experience of other boards and provides enforcement guidance, best practices and sample forms.  -read more-
Connecting Investigators and Expert Witnesses with State Boards
In 2013, the Enforcement Resources Committee created a database to help boards locate CPAs who are interested in working with a board as either an investigator or expert witness. The relationship might be long-term or simply on a case-by-case basis.  -read more-

ALD Updates
There are 49 Boards of Accountancy participating on the Accountancy Licensee Database (ALD) and now 48 participating on CPAverify. Rhode Island and Colorado are the most recent additions! Several other Boards are actively working on their implementations:Delaware, Hawaii and New Jersey are moving right along. NASBA wishes to praise all these boards and their staff for their efforts. -read more-
