| Boulder Public Library District Transition Update

The Board of Trustees continues its work - in collaboration with the City of Boulder - to transition the Boulder Public Library to a district.
|
Members of the Board of Trustees are also looking forward to participating in the library's fall programming, including Jaipur Literature Festival Colorado.

The City of Boulder invites you to “What’s Up Boulder,” an event to have fun and chat with staff about current and future plans and projects across the city. “What’s Up Boulder” will take place on Sunday, Sept. 10, from 1 - 3:30 p.m. at Foothills Community Park in the pavilions area.

During the event, Boulder Public Library District Board of Trustees and library staff will provide community members with more information about the district transition process. Library staff will be just down the way at Violet Park, requesting public comment and input on the new outdoor spaces at the upcoming new branch, North Boulder Library. Activities at Violet Park will include a train for kids, live music, games, activities and interactive opportunities to help design these new spaces in North Boulder.Â

Inspire Your Portrait with Frida Kahlo on Friday, Sept. 15, 4 - 5:30 p.m. at NoBo Art Center

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, participate in a bilingual workshop (English and Spanish) with CHAC Gallery. Create self-portraits inspired by the artistic legacy of the Mexican self-taught painter Frida Kahlo. At the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to take their own self-portrait home.
