                                                                         February 28, 2018
Reminder: Tomorrow is Read Across America Day! Please join us at East Flora Elementary School at 8:15 am to give us time to get our books and be assigned to a classroom by 8:30 am.
**What a joy to bring our first delivery of books donated through our Lenten Challenge with us!**
Our Lenten challenge this year is to provide books so that EVERY CHILD will have age-appropriate, interesting books to read in their classroom and in their home!  Please donate new or gently-read books suitable for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade to this effort. Any Newbery Award Winners, Caldecott Medal Books, or books YOUR children loved at this age would be great! For more ideas, check out these authors that the school's librarian requests for classroom author studies.  Thank you!
Dinner at 5:30 TONIGHT:
Menu: Brunswick stew, salad, cornbread, dessert and tea. Kids Option: Pizza, lemonade.
On the last Wednesday night of each month, instead of breaking up into classes by age group, we stay together for an intergenerational time that is really helping us get to know each other better!
TONIGHT:
In addition to being our "Last-Wednesday-Night-of-February-Celebration", tonight is the first day of Purim. We're so excited to have our 4th and 5th grade students share with us what they've been learning about Purim by acting out a play they have written, based on the story of ESTHER.

Join us for dinner, then stay to "Meet Esther"!

Worship with us each Sunday in Lent and ask:
Are you living into God's strength or your own?

Women Speak of God

We are closing this study with our next meeting at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 5th. For this session, YOU bring a story about a woman in the Bible, and we'll discuss how she helps our understanding of God.
Afterwards, there will be a quiz with prizes!!

UMCOR Relief Supply Kits
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is grateful for the generous support it receives from United Methodists and friends all year around. Your faithful giving enables UMCOR to meet emergency needs after a conflict or a devastating disaster. Our March Communion Offering supports UMCOR's relief efforts at home and abroad. Click on the videos pictured above for a glimpse into UMCOR's ministry.
