Phase 2 of the Ranch House renovation kicks off this Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Please remove all belongings from lockers by the end of the day today, September 4. There are day use lockers available in the East Wing.

During the initial phase of construction, Ranch House amenities will remain available. The main locker rooms and restrooms will be closed for several months, and members should use the East Wing family changing rooms and restrooms. The second floor, pools, fitness facilities and other Ranch House amenities will remain open.

Next week the general contractor will construct a temporary partition near the main entrance. During this work, expected to last approximately one week, building access will temporarily shift to the back gate near the East Wing. Signage will be clearly posted, and the mailroom will remain accessible.

We appreciate your patience as we begin this next phase of improvements. Weekly renovation updates will be shared in the newsletter.

Trash Collection Delayed One Day

Please be advised that trash collection for the Labor Day holiday will be delayed one day. Remember, cans must remain inside until 6 a.m. on trash day.

Town of Carbondale Waste Calendar

We continue to receive reports of bear activity throughout the neighborhood, including during daylight hours. One RVR homeowner recently captured a photo of a young bear in her yard around 4 p.m., where it found and raided a bird feeder that had been left out during the day.

This is an important reminder that bear attractants are not just an overnight concern. Trash, bird feeders, pet food, barbeque grills, fruit and compost can all draw bears into residential areas. Please help keep bears wild by removing or securing attractants around your home, even during the daytime.

Trash Reminder: Trash pickup is every Tuesday except on holidays. Cans must remain inside until 6 a.m. on trash day and be brought back in by 8 p.m. that evening.

Open Through Next Weekend — Bring Your Garden Goodies Before It’s Gone!

The RVR Farmer’s Table is back at the Ranch House! Have extra veggies or flowers from your garden? Bring them by to share with your neighbors and feel free to take home something from the table, too!

The Farmer’s Table will only be around through next weekend, so be sure to share your garden extras and enjoy the harvest while it lasts!

A Friendly Safety Reminder

As you enjoy RVR’s paths and trails, please be mindful of others along the way. E-bike and bicycle riders are encouraged to keep speeds reasonable, follow applicable traffic and safety laws, and slow down when approaching pedestrians, intersections, homes, or other areas with limited visibility. 

Our paths are shared by walkers, riders, families and children, who may not always see or hear someone approaching. Staying alert, giving others plenty of space and traveling at a safe speed can help prevent close calls and keep our community enjoyable for everyone. As a kind reminder, Class 3 e-bikes should remain off RVR’s multi use paths.

If you plan to rent or lease your home, please be sure to follow these important requirements.

RVR community members serving as Wildfire Ambassadors with the Wildfire Collaborative of the Roaring Fork Valley are launching a neighborhood initiative sharing practical ways to better protect our homes, and one another, from wildfire.

The initiative highlights simple, effective steps such as clearing combustible materials from the first five feet around your home, screening vents, signing up for a free home risk assessment, registering for emergency alerts, and preparing a go bag. Funding assistance of up to $1,500 may also be available for eligible wildfire-mitigation projects.

They are looking for volunteers to help share this important information throughout RVR. If you’d like to lend a hand, please take a moment to fill out a simple contact form by clicking here.

During the Annual Meeting, we discussed current water conditions and RVR's water rights. In coordination with the Town of Carbondale, the ditch headgates supplying our shared irrigation system have been reduced.

As a reminder, RVR homeowners may irrigate between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., while the golf course irrigates between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
