GENERAL UPDATES
  • Hey there Ducks! We are hosting more IntroDUCKtion programming this week. We encourage you to join in on some of the events and info sessions happening this week, but as a reminder, everything is completely optional.
  • The deadline to complete a Housing Exemption Request OR approve your Housing Contract Addedum is Tuesday, September 1. Please visit the University Housing website for more information.
  • If you have not done so already, now is the time to upload a photo for your official student ID card. You will use this card to access your residence hall, eat at on-campus dining venues, check out books at the library, and so much more! To successfully upload your photo ID, it is required that you also upload an image of your government issued ID. If you cannot, please email uocard@uoregon.edu or call 541-346-3113 to make alternate arrangements.
  • The IntroDUCKtion and Academic Advising community site is now live. Log on to complete your transfer Academic Advising Prep Module.
  • Did you miss our IntroDUCKtion Next Steps session last week? You can watch it now on our YouTube channel to get caught up! You can also learn more about important Next Steps on our website.
TRANSER TEAM ADVICE
The Transfer Team advice for this week comes from Pax! Pax says, “Don’t be afraid to reach out to your teachers and go to office hours! It’s a great opportunity to learn more and make connections!"
INTEREST SESSIONS
This week's Interest Sessions will be held Friday, September 4. All sessions are open to students, parents, and families. Sign up required; click on the topic title to register. Revisit last week's topics on YouTube.
  • Join University Housing from 2:00–3:00 p.m. PDT to get information on what to expect for the move-in process, including what to bring (and what not to bring). This session will also include a brief overview of getting involved in the halls and any updates regarding COVID-19.
SOCIAL BELONGING SURVEY
As an incoming student transitioning to college, you may have a lot of questions about what to expect. What's it like to come to the University of Oregon? is an online activity that shares stories from current and former students about their experiences transitioning to college. You will also be asked about your thoughts and feelings about coming to the UO.
We encourage all new students to take the time to complete this activity by September 1.
