Interested first-year students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above in the Fall 2024 semester to be considered for admission.

Are you concerned about the environment and looking for a way to make a difference? Join TIERA this summer for a two-week interdisciplinary, immersive field course based in Ecuador!

Students work closely with highly experienced locals on research projects linked to real world conservation programs, like monitoring reforestation outcomes, developing and marketing ecotourism ventures, protecting endangered species, and improving food and water security.
The 3 credit field courses satisfy the public service requirement. Students from all disciplines are welcome and scholarships are available. The deadline to apply is Monday, February 24th.

The Green Bandana Project is a program for students that raises mental health awareness, reduces stigma, and connects students to mental health and suicide prevention resources.
|

Join the initiative by completing a short training workshop (see below!), carrying resource cards, and tying a green bandana to your backpack as a way to let your peers know that you are a trusted person who knows how and where to reach out for help.
The Green Bandana Project workshop will take place tonight from 6-8 PM in LBC 208. If you have NOT already completed the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Training, please arrive by 6 PM. Otherwise, please join us at 7 PM.

Dr. Amanda Johnson is the 2024-2025 Bonquois Postdoctoral Fellow in women’s history for the Newcomb Institute of Tulane. Her current book manuscript, titled, Beating the Drums for Ourselves: Native American Women and Activism, 1960-1985, is a historical analysis of the Native American women who shaped the movements of self-determination and feminism in the late twentieth century.
