J. Philip Boudreaux, MD, FACS, is Professor of Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine with over 35 years as an experienced surgeon, transplant surgeon, critical care physician, and a member of the NOLA NETs (Neuroendocrine Tumors) multidisciplinary team. He also participates in Liver/Pancreas Transplant Services.
Dr. Boudreaux instituted the liver and pancreas transplant programs at LSU, performed the first pancreas transplant in Louisiana, and initiated the liver and kidney transplant programs at Children’s Hospital, New Orleans. He served as the Director of Liver/Pancreas/Kidney Transplant Services at LSU and Children’s Hospital pre-Katrina.
His clinical interests include treatment of neuroendocrine tumors; hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery; radiofrequency and NanoKnife ablation of solid tumors; and liver, pancreas, and kidney transplantation.
