Dear Friend,
As we transition to a new chapter at Theater Alliance, I want to express our deepest gratitude for the profound impact Raymond Caldwell and Jen Clements have had on our organization.
Yesterday, we closed Poetry For The People, which serves as a poignant and fitting finale—a testament to Raymond and Jen's unwavering dedication to our community and their transformative impact on our theater. This production embodies the essence of our mission: to develop and produce diverse, thought-provoking work that actively engages our community in dialogue. Thank you to all of you who joined us across DC for this show!
Under Raymond and Jen's stewardship, Theater Alliance has become a cornerstone of community engagement and socially-conscious theater in DC. I've had the honor of witnessing firsthand Raymond and Jen's passionate commitment. They demonstrate remarkable dedication to their staff and creative teams, embodying a genuine ability to nurture others. Their leadership is characterized by friendship, care, and fostering connections – making them a rare and invaluable gift to the theater and to our entire community.
As we embark on this new journey, I am deeply grateful for the foundation Raymond and Jen have laid and enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead to build upon their legacy. They will be co-leading with us for one more week, and I intend to absorb as much as possible! Rest assured, we will soon have a chance to gather together and raise a glass to their contributions.
Please leave a note here, to join me in thanking Raymond and Jen for their extraordinary contributions to our company and the whole DC theater community. As we celebrate this closing chapter, let us carry forward the lessons learned and the inspiration gained from their tenure as, together, we look towards the future of Theater Alliance.
Be well,
