A Message of Gratitude and Looking Forward

Dear Colleagues,

As we reflect on the past year, I am deeply moved by the resilience and dedication each of you has shown in the face of unprecedented challenges. Your unwavering commitment to our patients and to the noble calling of healthcare is inspiring. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of our team. Your ability to adapt, persevere, and continue to deliver exceptional care under difficult circumstances speaks volumes about your character and professionalism. Please know that your efforts do not go unnoticed.
As your Surgeon-in-Chief, I am continually exploring avenues to support and enhance the incredible work you do. One such initiative is the discussion around implementing Surgical Saturdays. This concept aims to expand block time access, offering us more flexibility and capacity to serve our patients. Rest assured, the Surgical Expanded Access (SEA) Committee is actively involved in these discussions, ensuring that our leadership team is fully informed about the implications and benefits of this potential change.

Moreover, I am excited to share that the horizon holds promising advancements in innovation by way of existing and prospective technology. We are actively looking for ways to maximize scheduling and other workflows. We hope that all teams will consider sending representation to upcoming Innovation Summits in 2024.

Thank you once again for your extraordinary service and dedication. Together, we will continue to make a significant impact in the lives of the children and families we serve.

Best,

Jeff
