Re:treat tonight! 
Join us tonight, October 23 at 5:45 for a roast beef dinner. Stay afterwards for our book group discussion of The Spirit of Justice: True Stories of Faith, Race, and Resistance by Jemor Tisby. The author will be joining us by Zoom!
Next week we will not have a Wednesday re:treat, as we are having the Worship on the Lawn at 10:45 am Sunday and then Trick or Treat Trails and Chili cookoff on Sunday evening beginning at 5:00. Bring a chair for all events.
Join us for Madison the City's Scarecrow Festival tomorrow, Thursday, October 24 at Liberty Park from 5 pm - 8 pm  Serving at Madison's Scarecrow Festival is one way we live into our goal of being a presence in our community. Sign up for a slot to work at the festival or to meet Pastor Dawn at 3:30 at PHUMC to load and setup at Liberty Park by clicking this link. We will have activities for kids, candy to pass out, and postcards to share about upcoming PHUMC events. Wear your PHUMC t-shirt if you have one. Let's celebrate the hard work of the students, teachers and staff at East Flora Elementary and their A rating! Join us on Nov. 1 for a field day celebration. We need volunteers to assist with face painting and many other activities offered for the students on this day. Please contact Haven if you are interested in volunteering. 



'Tis the season to be practicing for our Christmas worship services!

We'll continue to practice at 9:30 am in the Garden Room Sunday. Kids ages 3 through 5th grade are learning songs with our Music Director, David White, for the Children's Christmas service on Dec. 8 and to join the adults for the choir cantata on Dec. 15.
After our singing time, the children will move into age-appropriate Sunday School classes. We always need volunteers to aid with our kids ministry.

October Communion offering, $7,068 to date, supports Hurricane relief work in North Carolina.
Our November Communion offering will support MadCAAP's effort to provide Thanksgiving Boxes to at least 500 Madison County residents. This year we have agreed to supply 500 boxes of StoveTop stuffing for the Thanksgiving Community boxes. You can bring your boxes of stuffing any time before noon on November 14 and place them in the bins provided in the foyers of the Worship Center and the Education Building and all monetary gifts through the month of November will be given to MadCAAP.
