Greetings,
As we approach the end of 2021, we want to take a moment and express our heartfelt gratitude to all our friends, family, and well-wishers. Despite the challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic, your support has continued to move us forward and propel us to new growth. Along with virtual programs, DRI-CIWAS has re-established in-person training and curriculums to ensure a holistic approach to our program. We have adapted our WASH Sustainability projects in Ghana, Malawi, and Honduras to tackle the impacts of the pandemic as well. In addition to students from sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, our WASH Capacity Building Program with World Vision has expanded internationally this year to Latin American countries El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Haiti. A total of 170 students from 30 countries have completed the WASHCap Program. Furthermore, we have made significant progress in developing our technology to remove excess fluoride from drinking water, particularly for use in rural communities.

As we move into the holidays and begin a new year, we want to thank you for your financial support and collaborations with CIWAS. On behalf of everyone on the CIWAS team - Braimah, Victoria, Steve, and Palistha, and supporting DRI faculty, best wishes to you and your families. Have a wonderful and safe holiday season and Happy New Year 2022!
