New Program Highlight!
In this 4-week, 3-credit faculty-led study abroad program, students will be immersed in central Europe's rich artistic, musical, and cultural capital. Called both the “City of Music” and “City of Dreams,” Vienna has been an important economic, cultural, and political center for centuries and home to famous composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss, as well as numerous influential painters, architects, musicians, and writers. Utilizing the city for its blend of historic majesty and contemporary vibrance, this program will provide the opportunity to learn about the Economics of Art, Music, and culture in an inspiring and unique setting.

Experience the magic of summer in Beijing, China, where ancient traditions and modern vibrancy intertwine. Explore lush parks, walk along the Great Wall, indulge in tantalizing street food, witness cultural performances, and immerse yourself in the city’s captivating energy. Summer in Beijing is a season of adventure, beauty, and unforgettable moments.
The Beijing Summer Philosophy Program is a collaboration between Notre Dame and Peking University’s Philosophy Department, supported by the Beijing Global Gateway of Notre Dame in Beijing. Taught jointly by Notre Dame faculty and faculty from our partner institution, students will have an opportunity to work with local students to discover the intellectual hub of philosophical inquiry at Peking University, one of China’s most prestigious universities.

The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity. Gilman Scholarship broadens the student population that studies and interns abroad by supporting undergraduates who might not otherwise participate due to financial constraints. The program aims to encourage students to study and intern in a diverse array of countries or world regions. The program also encourages students to study languages, especially critical need languages (those deemed important to national security. The deadline to apply is October 5, 2023. Hispanic Heritage Month 
September is National Hispanic Heritage Month! Every year from September 15th to October 15th, we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month to honor the distinctive histories and cultures of Hispanics in the U.S. and the myriad ways in which they have contributed to America’s development.  The 2023 National Hispanic Heritage Month theme, “Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America”, highlights the contributions of Hispanics to America’s economic, political, and social growth.
