On Aug. 22, California State University, Northridge leaders, community partners and other dignitaries cut the ribbon and officially launched the state-of-the-art center that is designed to inspire innovation and prepare the next generation of scientists and engineers.

CSUN President Erika D. Beck kicked off the 2025-26 academic year with her annual fall address on Aug. 22, celebrating achievements and looking to the year ahead.

There was plenty of new school year excitement and energy on campus for the first days of the semester. Associated Students handed out freebies, the CSUN Navigators offered support and thousands of new Matadors joined the campus community. Check out the photos from the first day of classes.

Dmitry Rachmanov, director of the CSUN piano program, performs a diverse program, tracing musical voices across eras — from Beethoven’s “Six Bagatelles, Op. 126” and Chopin’s dazzling “Etudes,” to the contrasting visions of Scriabin and Rachmaninoff.

The Soraya opens its 2025-26 Season with the West Coast Premiere of the Off-Broadway hit “Fiddler on the Roof” in Yiddish with English supertitles.
