Signs, Signs and More Signs!

Several new community entrance and directional signs are being installed today throughout Ken-Caryl Ranch. The new signs are being placed in the following locations: on Ken Caryl Ave. near the intersection of Continental Divide Road, at the corner of S. Valley Road and Valley Parkway, at the Ranch House entrance, at the Equestrian Center/Dakota Lodge entrance, and just before the Valley Parkway/North Ranch fork. There will also be signs installed later this month at the corner of Club Drive and S. Valley Road and at the intersection of Ken Caryl Ave. and S. Valley Road. Some of the signs will have stones added to them, and the masonry work will be done later this week.

New Dues Payment Options in 2016; Coupon Books No Longer Automatically Provided

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association is looking forward to a change in our dues collection process beginning in 2016. Many of you (almost 80 percent) pay your dues electronically without using a paper coupon. So in an effort to keep up with our paperless society, effective Jan. 1, 2016, we will no longer be automatically providing paper coupons. However, if you would like to receive a monthly invoice, we can email one to you each month. If you would like to sign up to receive an invoice, please send a message with your name, address and email address to Annette Chavez at annettec@kcranch.org. Your email address will be kept confidential and used only for KCRMA business. If you would still like to receive a paper coupon book for 2016 we can order one for you for a fee of $5. You can download a Coupon Book Order Form or call Annette at 303-979-1876, ext. 112. Our website also lists all of the ways to pay your dues electronically.

Map Table in Ranch House Needs a New Home

There will no longer be space for the large topographic map table at the Ranch House once building renovations start, and we are currently looking for a new home for it. The map dimensions are approximately 10.5 feet by 11.5 feet. It will need to be taken apart in order to move it out of the building, and it must be hauled away by the end of September. If you or someone you know is interested in the table, please contact Chris Pacetti at chrisp@kcranch.org or 303-979-1876, ext. 116, by Sept. 25.

Parent Lecture Series Sept. 16

Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District will be hosting a series of fun, informational presentations geared toward the families in our community. The first lecture is “Saving for College Without Jeopardizing Your Retirement” on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ranch House. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided. These free (donations accepted) lectures are designed to be used as a resource for the community to provide support while raising or thinking about starting a family.

Open House at the Bradford-Perley House Sept. 18

The public is invited to join the Ken-Caryl Ranch Historical Society at an open house on Friday, Sept. 18 to celebrate the addition of the Robert Boyles Bradford Property to the National Register of Historic Places. We will begin with a short program at 5:30 p.m., and the house will be open until 7 p.m. Historical Society members will be available for short tours and to answer questions. The property, including the Bradford-Perley House, well, orchard, and remnants of the outbuildings and road, joins the Ken-Caryl Valley Archaeological District, Bradford House II, and Bradford House III as local sites to achieve such distinction. The Bradford-Perley House is located west of the Bradford Pool and Park on Killdeer Lane in the North Ranch.

Ken-Caryl Home Tour

The Ken-Caryl Home Tour will be Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and is open to Ken-Caryl residents and their guests. Brought to you by the Ken-Caryl Ranch Foundation and with the generous backing of our sponsors, we will once again support The Action Center, a local non-profit serving those in need in Jefferson County. Take a peek inside seven beautifully remodeled homes located in both the North Ranch and Ken-Caryl Valley. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and are available for purchase at www.kencarylhometour.org. Tickets may be purchased online in advance or at the Community Center on the day of the event. Tickets are limited, and those purchased by Sept. 20 will include free delivery.
